Ioulia Televantou is a Lecturer in Quantitative Research Methods in Social Sciences at the Department of Education Sciences, European University Cyprus. Her research interests focus on applying quantitative methods, such as multilevel modeling and latent variable modeling, to large-scale empirical research aimed at assessing the effects of peer and other context-related factors on students’ motivational and emotional outcomes. She is particularly interested in factors that facilitate students’ self-concept in learning mathematics and statistics, as well as in investigating bullying victimization among adolescents in vulnerable populations.  She earned a doctorate in Quantitative Education from the University of Oxford’s Department of Education, with her thesis focused on improving value-added models routinely used by governments worldwide to measure educational effectiveness. Her research has received several awards and grants, and she published in different scientific journals. She teaches Research Methodology and Quantitative Methods courses.
