Professor Bob Bowie (PhD) holds the Chair for Religion and Worldviews Education at Canterbury Christ Church University and is Director of NICER, a university research centre focused on children’s spiritual flourishing, Christianity and education, Religious Education and Church schools. He researches tolerance in education, sacred text education, moral and values education and tradition education. He is a Trustee of the International Symposium for Religion Education and Values and Culham St Gabriel’s Trust. He is in the editorial board of the British Journal of Religious Education, the Journal of Beliefs and Values and is Deputy Editor of the International Journal of Christianity and Education.
